Maximum Cards

A COLLECTION OF CHINESE MAXIMUM CARDS

A maximum card consists of a a picture post card that has an illustration, stamp and cancel all with a common theme. The study of maximum cards is called maximaphilately. There is an APS (American Philatelic Society) Maximum Card Study Unit (APS# AF0106), organized to promote the study and collecting of maximum cards and which publishes a quarterly journal: North American Maximaphily. The following is a sample of Chinese maximum cards, collected for their interest only since I am not a maximaphilatelist.
