6th F.E.S.P.I.C. BEIJING 1994

Beijing hosted the Sixth Far East and South Pacific Games for the Disabled in September, 1994. More than 1,400 athletes from 42 countries and regions around the world attended the 7-day event attracting a record number of participants.

The success of the Games has made FESPIC the second largest sports event for the disabled in the world after the Paralympics. The event consisted of sports competitions divided into different types of disabilities.

Athletes from Australia, China, China Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region attended the Games.
